Effective ways to beat the scorching heat this summer. We are only on the half of May and the HEAT is giving us the feeling of June-Jully. Gone are the days when the optimum level of heat was 30 degrees.

We are facing above 35 degrees in May only. Though Global Warming has its utmost effect on temperature change these days we should be alert on our coping mechanism for this scorching heat.

Venturing out in summer can weigh a person down. In many places, schools have been shut due to the heat waves and high temperatures. The rising heat affects our overall health. With the change in temperature, we should also pay a good visit to our lifestyle to make sure this heat, we all stay protected. As we all know the famous quote " Prevention is better than cure."


With recent elevating weather conditions, consuming the right amount of water, using sun protection, and maintaining a proper diet are of utmost necessity. Here are a few ways that can help you cool down in this HOT weather.

* LIQUIDS: Try to add more liquids to your diet. Have a glass of sherbet and juices during the afternoon. Sugarcane juice, lemonade, watermelon juice, and coconut water are some of the options that are wildly available nearby. Add the juice along with glasses of water to keep yourself hydrated this summer.

* LIGHT FOOD: It is advisable to eat light meals as heavy foods like spicy and fried foods tend to rise the temperature of the body. Food such as Dal ( pulses), lauki ki sabzi, tamarind rice, etc is advisable for summer days.

*COTTON CLOTHES: During summer wearing cotton clothes and light-colored clothes are advisable as cotton is a good absorber of water. Since we sweat

* SUN PROTECTION (SPF): Wearing sun protection SPF is very necessary for everyone in summer. SPF helps our skin from premature aging, tanning, and hyperpigmentation. It is also safe our skin from sunburn. It also helps to keep our skin healthy in summer.

* EATING FRUITS: Eating local and seasonal food during summer times helps our body to be hydrated. Fruits like grapes, cherries, berries, watermelon, mango, apple, sugarcane, lemon, etc have a high amount of water content. It is advisable to eat at least one fruit every day during summertime to keep our bodies healthy and hydrated.

* CARRYING AN UMBRELLA OUTSIDE: Carring a handy umbrella and sunglass whenever you go outside during the summertime is a feasible option to keep yourself protected during the summertime. To prevent the scorching heat of the summer sun, an umbrella gives you protection from the direct sun rays and a sunglass also keeps your eyes cool during the bright daylight of summer.
